63 babies born at three in two health institutions in C/R during Easter

A total of 63 deliveries, made up of 24 boys and 39 girls were recorded at the Winneba Government Hospital and Kasoa Health Centre in the Central Region during the Easter festivities.

The Midwifery Officer in-charge of the Winneba Government hospital Maternity Ward, Madam Elizabeth Ogoe, told the Ghana News Agency in an interview on Easter Sunday that five boys and eight girls were born on Good Friday while three boys and three girls were delivered on Easter Saturday.

She said so far a boy and two girls have been born on Easter Sunday.

According to her, the babies and their mothers are in good condition of health, while most of them have all been discharged.

Madam Esther Quaison, Senior Midwifery Officer at the Kasoa Health Centre said three boys and seven girls were born on Good Friday while six boys, 15 girls were delivered on Easter Saturday.

She said six boys and four girls were born on Easter Sunday morning.**
