25-year-old gunned down at mining site

A 25-year-old miner, Foster Odame, has been gunned down at a mining site in Akyem Adukrom near Kibi in the Eastern region.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue.

Information gathered indicates that the suspect Evans Kojo discharged a pump action gun which injured the deceased Foster Odame.

Odame was rushed to the Osiem hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

It is not clear why the deceased was shot.

Meanwhile, the suspect is on the run.
