CIPS announces official professional body status in Ghana

The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) has today announced it has been officially granted professional body status in Ghana, representing the Procurement and Supply Chain profession.

Working for the good of the profession and the public, professional body status ensures that CIPS will champion raising of standards in the profession through its professional qualifications, leading edge thinking and research and driving the professional procurement agenda across the world.

At the official opening of the new CIPS Ghana office in Accra, Duncan Brock, CIPS Director said “CIPS is delighted to have been given this recognition as we start our official journey in Ghana. CIPS is the only professional body in the world to set the Global Standard and promote a Code of Conduct for procurement and supply practice and we are delighted to be able to better support our Ghanaian community.”

For the benefit of all CIPS members in Ghana , the dedicated office and Knowledge Resource Centre will be open from 9am-4pm Monday to Friday, managed by Country Manager, Stella Aku Addo (FCIPS).
