The New Life Regeneration Foundation (NLRF), a youth-focused nonprofit organisation dedicated to community development and social transformation, is among the 15 NGO’s selected by NACOC to aid in prevention. The New Life Regeneration Foundation is marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in Ghana.

The selection follows the successful training of the Foundation’s volunteers in 2025 under the Universal Prevention Curriculum (UPC), a program facilitated by NACOC to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to support evidence-based substance abuse prevention initiatives.

The training forms part of NACOC’s broader strategy to strengthen community-based prevention efforts across the country.

The Foundation, which also works in partnership with the National Youth Authority, believes that empowering young people with the right skills, resources and mindset is essential to building resilient communities and creating sustainable opportunities for growth. Through its programs, NLRF seeks to support young people in transitioning from vulnerability to viable professions while contributing to positive social change.

Speaking on the achievement, the Foundation described the partnership as a significant milestone that strengthens its commitment to youth empowerment and community development. The collaboration with NACOC provides an opportunity to contribute more effectively to Ghana’s national efforts to prevent substance abuse among young people and vulnerable groups.

The Foundation is led by Roselyn Sena Gbetanu, an entrepreneur and founding executive of the New Life Regeneration Foundation. She is currently pursuing an Executive Master’s Degree in Governance and Leadership at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

Her passion for humanitarian work, coupled with her belief that empowered individuals can inspire and nurture greatness in others, has driven her dedication to supporting marginalized and vulnerable populations.

A native of Logba-Tota in the Afadzato South District of the Volta Region, Sena continues to advocate for youth empowerment, social inclusion, and community development, while working to create opportunities that positively impact lives and communities across Ghana.
