New Crystal Hospital in partnership with Walkabout Foundation donates wheelchairs to the physically challenged

New Crystal Hospital a leading healthcare service provider with eight network branches in Ashaiman, Adjei-Kojo, Tema, Michel Camp, and Takoradi in partnership with Walkabout Foundation a UK-based charity organization has donated wheelchairs to some physically challenged persons within the Ashaiman and Tema metropolis.

The event which was held at the newly established ultramodern hospital – New Crystal Medical Mall in Ashaiman has over thirty fit-for-purpose wheelchairs donated.

According to Dr Wisdom Amegbletor, the CEO of New Crystal Hospital, this initiative forms part of activities the hospital has undertaken among others to help improve the well-being of the vulnerable and the marginalized in Ghanaian society.

He further added that New Crystal Hospital in partnership with other partners from the UK will undertake free screening and surgeries for people suffering from foot and ankle acute, chronic injuries, foot and ankle birth defects and deformities, chronic foot and ankle wounds, and diabetic foot infections from 12th – 15th June 2023 at the New Crystal Medical Mall in Ashaiman.

Speaking to the media, Ellen Gamble the programs director of Walkabout Foundation says this donation is aimed to improve the lives of the physically challenged who struggle to move around at home, work and perform other activities when it comes to mobility.

The beneficiaries were extremely grateful to New Crystal Hospital and Walkabout Foundation for the good gesture.
