As part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility, Royal Kingdom Estate has donated assorted items worth over GH¢100,000 to the Village of Hope Orphanage at Gomoa Fetteh in the Central Region.

The items, which include bags of rice, cartons of vegetable oil, soft drinks, and toiletries, were presented during a visit by the management and staff of the real estate company.

The donation forms part of efforts by the company to give back to society and make a tangible impact in the lives of underprivileged children.

Speaking during the presentation, Chief Executive Officer, Danny Angels, explained the motivation behind the gesture, which coincided with his birthday celebration in May.

“Over the years, our Corporate Social Responsibility has been expansive. Our story—‘from nothing to what we are today’—inspires us to care for the needy. Personally, I believe the best birthday gift is the opportunity to give back, and this aligns perfectly with our organizational vision,” he said.

He added that the company made similar donations in the past but chose the Village of Hope Orphanage this year due to its unique history and the success stories of individuals who have emerged from the home.

“From now on, this will be one of our adopted orphanages that we’ll support from time to time. Givers are not necessarily the most privileged; we just need to be willing to give, no matter how little we have,” Mr. Angels emphasized.

An official of the Village of Hope Orphanage, Mr. Lawrence Baah, expressed profound gratitude to the company for the timely support, noting the high costs involved in running the home—especially the babies’ unit.

“The cost of running the babies’ home alone exceeds that of some of our adult homes. We’re very grateful for this support. Some of the children will soon begin school, and the home bears the full responsibility for their fees, hostel accommodation, and other needs,” he said.

Mr. Baah also appealed to other individuals and organizations to emulate the example of Royal Kingdom Estate and support the home in various ways.

The Village of Hope Orphanage is known for raising and nurturing children who have gone on to positively impact society. The latest donation is expected to provide much-needed relief and reinforce the home’s capacity to continue delivering on its mandate.
