The US Chapter of the International Youth Network for UN Security Council Resolution 2250 inaugurated at West Palm Beach

The US Chapter of the International Youth Network for UN Security Council Resolution 2250 (IYNUNSCR2250) was inaugurated at West Palm Beach in Florida on November 11, 2023.

The 1st session of The Global Youth General Assembly held a series of events on that weekend however the highlight was The Declaration of the United States of America as the Headquarters and The Inauguration and Swearing-in of appointees of the USA Chapter of IYNUNSCR2250.

H.E. Lady Rev. Lilian Sally Addo, Global President of the International Youth Network for UN Security Council Resolution 2250, welcomed the new appointees and took them through orientation before the swearing-in ceremony.

She took them through diplomacy lessons and made them aware of the expectations required of their new offices. She also announced that the United States is now the Headquarters of the International Youth Network for UN Security Council Resolution 2250 (IYNUNSCR2250).

H.E. Lady Rev. Lilian Sally Addo introduced the new appointees to the Global Patron H.E. Dr. Phillip Phinn and Board members present Hon. Hopeson Adorye, Her Excellency Rev. Dr. Asie Kabuki Ocansey and His Excellency Reverend Dr. Devon Anthony Bannister.

H.E. Evangelist Dr. Charles Nimmo Ntiamoah Mensah (Mr. CNN)- Country Head of the USA Chapter on behalf of his colleagues expressed his appreciation to the Board and assured them that he would rally them to discharge their duties honorably as is expected.

Hon. Raphael David Antwi and Hon. Regina Silas were sworn in as Special Advisor to The Global President and 2nd Deputy Special Envoy, respectively. Hon Akua Antwiwaa Fordjour, Global Director for Conferences and Travelling.

H.E. Lady Rev. Lilian Sally Addo highlighted UNSCR 2250 and said “On 9 December 2015, the United Nations Security Council unanimously adopted Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security (YPS).

This resolution is the first to recognize young women and men's important and positive role in maintaining and promoting international peace and security.
To bring awareness to – and support the implementation of – UNSCR 2250, the inter-agency Working Group on Youth & Peacebuilding, its members, and partners, supported the following activities in 2016:”

She also made a general call and invited the public to join the Network and contribute their quota to make the world a better place, peaceful and secure.
