Obour fetes Juaso orphans on Christmas Day

Caring Homes Orphanage Home, located in Juaso in the Asante Akyem Constituency in the Ashanti Region was the centre of attraction over the weekend when NPP parliamentary hopeful and Managing Director of Ghana Post Bice Obour Osei Kuffour paid a visit to the home to fraternize with the children of the orphanage and to share in the Christmas festivities with them.

Obour joined by family, friends and associates visited the Orphanage ahead of his nomination submission and campaign launch to donate assorted items including bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, assorted drinks and toiletries estimated at over 10,000 Ghana cedis.

Welcoming Obour and his team to the orphanage, the Director of the Home, Madam Grace Owusu expressed sincere gratitude to Obour for remembering the orphanage at a critical period like Xmas when the children needed to be shown love and affection.

In response, Mr. Bice Osei Kuffour expressed his joy for visiting and the fact that he has the opportunity to share the blessings of God on his life with the inmates of the house.

He said it was a great privilege for him to visit and interact with the children in the spirit of Christmas saying "Our Lord Jesus Christ is a great lover of children.

Obour indicated that he was going to make such donations a regular feature and ensure that the orphanage was supported from time to time.

He asked for the prayers of the leadership of the orphanage and the children as he took bold steps to contest for the parliamentary aspirant of the NPP in the upcoming primaries and eventually become the elected Parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party of Asante Akyem South.

He promised that the orphanage would be on his mind and plans to ensure that the Children get the best of attention.

Receiving the items, Madam Grace Owusu was full of gratitude and praise to Obour for the benevolence shown to the orphanage adding that they were overwhelmed by the gesture.

She bemoaned the neglect of the orphanage by the leadership of Juaso and the Asante Akyem Constituency and prayed that Obour's timely gesture which has brought smiles to the faces of the children would be emulated by well-placed citizens of the community.

She wished Obour well in his political journey and asked the good Lord who is the caretaker of the underprivileged and destitute to hear Obour's prayer.

Obour took turns to dance and fraternize with the children amidst brass band music.
