National Robotics Competition held at Heritage Christian University College

The National Robotics Competition dubbed Robotics inspired Science Education (RiSE2023) has been held at Heritage Christian University College, Amasaman-Accra.

The program was under the auspices of the Ghana Robotics Academy Foundation (GRAF).

The event aimed to promote science education and innovation through the exciting realm of robotics.

The RiSE2023 SEASON witnessed spirited competition among participating teams from various schools across Ghana-from basic to senior high levels, with an exposition by some university students.

The event showcased the talent and ingenuity of young minds who eagerly embraced the challenges posed by robotics and its applications in science and technology.

Among the institutions that displayed their prowess in the robotics competition were Prempeh College, Achimota School, Our Lady of Grace Senior High School, Apam SHS, Starters Technology, Adenta Science Club, Mikrobot Academy, and 15 other teams. Each team brought their unique insights and creative solutions, reflecting the dedication and hard work put forth in their robot designs.

After intense rounds of competition involving different challenges, five teams emerged with the highest scores in the various categories and would represent Ghana in the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) in Panama. They are:



Prof. Williams Atuilik, Provost of Heritage Christian University College, expressed delight in the remarkable display of talent and passion showcased during the competition. Dr. Yaw Okraku-Yirenkyi, National Director of Robotics inspired Science Education (RiSE2023) of the Ghana Robotics Academy Foundation, praised the participating teams for their exemplary dedication and highlighted the organization's mission to inspire and empower the next generation of Ghanaian innovators.
