He also indicated that MSMEs were also the backbone of every local economy.
Speaking at the E-Commerce Forum and Exhibition 2023 on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, organized by the pan African e-commerce initiative of GIZ at the University of Professional Studies Accra, Mr Robert said building collaboration and strengthening networks within the Ghanaian e-commerce sector was very important.

He said, "We are all aware that e-commerce is a dynamic force, reshaping economies and societies across the globe, and today, we come together to navigate its promising terrain. Throughout today's Forum, we have the privilege of learning from distinguished experts and practitioners who will delve into the opportunities and challenges in detail during various plenary discussions and breakout sessions. While we discuss, let us keep in mind that our collective efforts can lead to policies and practices that facilitate a more inclusive, secure, and sustainable e-commerce ecosystem."

"I am particularly excited to see such a strong representation of MSMEs in the audience. They are the backbone of the economy and play a significant role in driving the e-commerce growth in Africa. Supporting and empowering these enterprises is essential for realizing the full potential of e-commerce in Africa. I am hopeful that especially day two of the conference which will focus on match-making and networking will contribute to boosting their e-commerce operations," the Head of Project and Digital Transformation Center at GIZ Ghana stated.
