Lycee Francais Jacques Prevert, popularly known as the French School, last Saturday, 8th February 2020 hosted its annual Open Day event in Accra.

The school opened its doors to members of the general public as well as other relevant stakeholders to get them closer to the school and also give them a deeper insight into the school’s academic structure and its procedures.

Speaking about the Open Day, the headmaster of the school, Mr. David Ballieu said that “enroll your child in the Lycée Français d’Accra for excellence and fulfillment and multiculturalism. You are assured of excellent results in French exams, in the preparation of English and Spanish language certifications, leading to further studies in the best French and international schools and universities”.

He added that “Our program and courses offered are expanding with the creation of the Theatre option for Senior High School students and the opening of the British International Section this year. This will give our students from grade one to twelve the opportunity to obtain the prestigious French Baccalaureate with International section option”

The event was also used to open the British International section for the 2020 academic year which led to the ongoing recruitment of English language, literature, history and geography teachers for primary, secondary and high school levels.

Parents were provided the opportunity for a special guided tour to inspect the school’s facilities in addition to interacting with trained and experienced teachers and other professional staff on various subjects.

There was also a presentation on the school’s curriculum which is centered on developing strong analytical skills, oral communication, autonomy, sense of organization and reasoning.

Lycee Francais Jacques Prevert has a multicultural student population and environment which was experienced at first hand by guests on the day.
