Ian Wordi wins Supreme African Actor Of the Year at SDTA Awards for 'Venge'

Ghana’s Ian Wordi won his first ever SDTA Award at the third edition of the Global and Prestigious, Supreme Dynamic Talent Academy Awards as Supreme African Actor Of the Year for his role in the Africa Magic's hit series: ‘Venge’, you may now proceed to call him an SDTA Awards winning Actor as he joins a prestigious league of Thespians who have been recognized throughout the SDTA Awards history.

Ian was announced the winner of the Supreme African Actor of the Year at the 3rd edition Ceremony of SDTA Awards, held in December at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel.

If one were sitting in the audience, a neck spasm would be impending with all the turning and trying to spot the celebrities, diplomats and other dignitaries While trying to catch all the fun on stage, from musical performances to Cultural dance to poetry etc, It was indeed a night of glittering performances, tickling humor, glasses of champagne, glitzy outfits, plenty of nerves and humble gratifications, as some very iconic names won some very prestigious awards and others were recognized in special categories too.

Ian had emerged as a favorite for the SDTA Awards Jury & Supreme Fans during the award season for his performance as Kamara Dede In the previous year's, one of the most lauded TV series, ‘Venge’, where he supremely displayed to Africa what an extraordinarily compelling actor he is, making him the third recipient of the Prestigious Laurel.

The Ghanaian thespian seized his moment in the spotlight, the steely force of Ian’s work in Venge clinched the prize for Supreme African Actor 2023. It could be said that combined with Ian's artistic and commercial clout in Venge TV Series and his fanbase, it simply made it seemingly unbeatable in the very competitive Unpredictable race.

ABOUT THE SUPREME AFRICAN ACTOR OF THE YEAR CATEGORY

This SDTA Awards category is awarded to an African Actor, for his Supreme performance in a leading role in the African cinema or Dramatic Series for outstanding talent and remarkable achievements, whose works have distinguished him over the last 12 months, dominated the industry, and made an impact within the African continent or globally and portrayed supremacy.

The Excited Actor took to his Instagram to make an acceptance speech in a video to express his gratitude for Winning the Top prize in the film industry’s annual category.

“Guys, I just received my award for Actor of the Year and I want to say I'm truly truly humbled by this SDTA. Sorry I missed the award show, I wasn't around at the time but yeah, 2023 was an amazing year and I'm hopeful for 2024. I'm going to take this again this year, just so you know.

I also want to thank Africa Magic for the opportunity these past few years because if not for them, I wouldn’t be taking this.
