BH Fertagro Ghana Limited, Ghana’s most trusted and preferred agribusiness partner, has been adjudged the “Agribusiness of the Year 2024” by the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI) at the 5th Chamber Business Awards (for the 2nd consecutive time), held at the Accra International Conference Centre over the weekend.
The prestigious award recognizes BH-Fertagro’s outstanding contribution to Ghana’s agricultural transformation agenda through innovation in fertilizer blending and distribution, strong farmer partnerships, impactful corporate social responsibility footprints, and commitment to sustainable agribusiness practices within and across Ghana.
Receiving the award, management of BH-Fertagro expressed appreciation to the GNCCI for the recognition and reaffirmed the company’s resolve to continue supporting Ghana’s food security and agribusiness value-chains, improving crop yields, creating jobs, safeguarded livelihoods & improved incomes, strengthening farmer resilience, and ensuring environmental sustainability.
Speaking to the press after receiving the award, the Managing Director of BFGL, Robert Kwabena Ayitey, assured that the company remains resolute to sustaining the deployment of profitable agric-input solutions to the market to deliver positive impact on people and the planet.
The Chamber Business Awards celebrate excellence, innovation, and ethical leadership across Ghana’s private sector. This recognition underscores BH Fertagro’s leadership role in advancing the national vision for agricultural growth and industrial competitiveness.
BH-FERTAGRO over the years as part of its corporate social responsibilities donated over GHC90,000 worth of fertilizers and other assorted items to the Nsawam Prison Complex to support their farming and inmate maintenance efforts.
During the 2023 Akosombo dam spillage, the company also presented over GH₵100,000 worth of relief items to the people of Mepe, Bator, Sogakope and its environs.
Currently the company is embarking on over GHC 100, 0000 irrigation project for the Nsawam Prison as part of sustaining their all-year-round farming projects.
