Adelaide Abbiw-Williams, CEO of SES HD PLUS Ghana, Wins 'Outstanding Woman in Leadership Award'

Adelaide Ahovy Abbiw-Williams, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SES HD PLUS Ghana, has been awarded the prestigious "Outstanding Woman in Leadership Award" at this year’s Women's Choice Awards Africa ceremony.

The Women's Choice Awards Africa, organized by Global Ovations Ltd., is a high-impact C-level program designed to empower and recognize women leaders across the continent. This award celebrates Adelaide's remarkable achievements, outstanding leadership, and tireless efforts in shaping the satellite broadcasting landscape in Ghana.

Speaking to the media, Adelaide thanked the organisers for the recognition and dedicated her award to all women blazing the trail in their respective industries. "I am incredibly humbled and honoured to receive this recognition from the Women's Choice Awards Africa. I dedicate this award to all the women who strive to make a difference in their communities and inspire others to reach their full potential," She said. Additionally, she applauded the exceptional contributions of her team at SES HD Plus who have worked jointly with her in executing the many initiatives they resolved to achieve this year. Adelaide is a seasoned business leader with over two decades of experience across diverse fields including FMCG, manufacturing, telecommunications, mobile financial services, and satellite broadcasting. Prior to her current role, she played a pivotal role in launching the HD+ brand in Ghana, leading it to become the preferred choice for quality TV viewing within the free-to-air satellite market

Adelaide's dedication and contributions have been consistently recognized. She was recently honoured at the 5th National Communications Awards with the 2023 Technology Leadership Award. Additionally, she has been honoured at the 8th Ghana Women of Excellence Awards and the 50 Female Pillars of Modern Ghana Awards amongst others.
