Access Bank’s outstanding performance in 2022 lauded

Access Bank Ghana’s impact on the Ghanaian economy in 2022 has been phenomenal. Worthy of note is the Bank’s outstanding contribution to the SME sector, its commitment to financial inclusion, improved digital and retail operations, and social investments in the Bank’s communities of operation.

These feats have been recognized and awarded both in Ghana and globally by world-class awarding bodies. On the global front, Access Bank’s influence has attracted awards from Euromoney, Global Finance, Global Brands, and Finance Derivative Awards.

Locally, reputable awarding bodies such as Ghana Club 100, the Sustainability and Social Investment Awards, and Women Choice Award, among others, have acknowledged the Bank’s distinction in its products and service delivery.

Access Bank has been named the Best Bank and received the Sustainable Finance Award in Ghana in 2022 by Global Finance Awards. The Global Brands Magazine Awards also adjudged Access Bank the Most Innovative SME Banking Brand and Best CSR Bank in 2022.

In addition, Euromoney Award ranked Access Bank as a Highly regarded Market Leader in SME Banking, Corporate Banking, Digital Solutions, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) while the Finance Derivative Magazine Award adjudged Access Bank the Best Retail Bank in Ghana.

National awards that honored Access Bank in 2022 are the Ghana Women of the Year Honours, a special recognition award for Access Bank’s ‘W’ Initiative, and Women’s Choice Award Africa 2022, in recognition of the Bank’s support towards Women-led Businesses through the flagship Womenpreneur Pitch-A-Ton Africa.

Sustainability and Social Investment (SSI) Awards also named Access Bank as Project of the year (Health) for the Bank’s Fist Against Fistula Projects and Best Company in Financial Inclusion & Literacy Project for its Live Beta Project.

In addition, Access Bank ranked 22nd at the prestigious Ghana Club 100 ranking and adjudged Brand of the Year (Banking) by the Ghana Accountancy and Finance Awards while Credit Excellence Awards named Access Bank as the SME Bank of the year.

Commenting on the awards, the Managing Director of Access Bank, Olumide Olatunji expressed his appreciation to customers of the Bank for their loyalty throughout the year. He said, “We could not have achieved this feat without the loyalty of our cherished customers. We dedicate these awards to our shareholders, cherished customers, regulators, vendors, and service providers for their continued loyalty to the bank.

I also want to thank my staff for their selfless devotion to work which helped the Bank to achieve this feat. We will continue to support the Ghanaian economy with our unique products and services in the coming year. For you, we will keep doing more”, Olumide affirmed.
