The 9th edition of the annual International Youth Empowerment Summit (iYES) is set to take place from March 15th to 17th, 2023, at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) Auditorium in Madina.

This global initiative, a nonprofit organization headquartered in Ghana, is dedicated to the spiritual, intellectual, and emotional growth of young people around the world through proprietary programs, revival summits, events, seminars, and practical opportunities.

Founded by Pastor Brian Amoateng, iYES was born from his experiences as a student evangelist at the University of Ghana.

The theme for this year’s edition is “Purpose Driven Youth,” and the morning sessions start at 9 am, with evening sessions beginning at 5:30 pm. The summit features an impressive lineup of speakers, including Dr. Paul Enenche from Nigeria, Pastor Eastwood Anaba, Dr. Frank Ofosu Appiah, Pastor Daniel Amoateng, Pastor Sampson Amoateng, Prof. Elsie Kaufmann, Apostle Leopold Mutombo from Congo, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare (IGP), and Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum (Minister of Education).

A new addition to this year's iYES is a job fair on the first morning session on March 15th at 9:00 am. The job fair will include interview sessions, elevator pitches, skills training, study abroad information sessions, internship placements, and many more. This event aims to connect young people with potential employers and provide them with practical career advice and opportunities to help them find job opportunities that match their skills and interests.

The summit is free to attend, and transportation will be arranged for those who will need it. The event is sponsored by the IYES Foundation, DPO Pay Network, Fiesta Royale Hotel, First Atlantic Bank, Kora, UPSA SRC, National Lottery Authority, and has media partners Joy Prime and Footprint TV.

Speaking to the press, Pastor Brian Amoateng expressed his excitement about this year’s edition, saying, “I am thrilled to welcome young people from around the world to the 9th edition of iYES. Our mission is to empower young people with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities they need to achieve their full potential and make a positive impact on the world. I am confident that this year’s summit will inspire and motivate young people to become purpose-driven and make a difference in their communities.”

The International Youth Empowerment Summit is a unique opportunity for young people to connect with like-minded individuals, learn from inspiring leaders, and gain practical skills and experience. It is an event not to be missed, and we encourage young people from around the world to attend and be a part of this transformative experience.
