6th Ghana-France Higher Educa9on and Research Conference 2024

The 6th Ghana-France Higher Education and Research Conference 2024 will be held in Accra from Monday, February 5 to Wednesday, February 7, and then in Kumasi on Thursday, February 8.

This major event was organized by Campus France, the French higher education institution that helps and assists students or people wishing to study in France, and by the French Embassy in Ghana. To this end, a French delegation of 12 higher education establishments, including business schools, engineering schools, and public universities, came, accompanied by Her Excellency Madame Béatrice KHAIAT, Deputy Director of Campus France.

The French Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Jules-Armand ANIAMBOSSOU, was also present throughout the event.

On Tuesday, February 6, a student fair was held at the Accra International Conference Center from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. This student fair aimed to introduce Ghanaians to the opportunities for higher education in France, and all the advantages that come with it. It was also an opportunity for participants to meet directly with French schools and make contacts.

The French schools: Sciences Po Paris, Université Catholique de l'Ouest, Centrale Supelec, CESI écoles d'ingénieurs, EM Normandie, EM Strasbourg, IESEG SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT, Eklore-ed School of Management, ISTEC Business School, IMT ATLANTIQUE, Centrale Supélec, IMT Mines-Télécom Business School settled up stands to welcome all visitors to the fair. They handed out brochures, answered questions and gave presentations on their programs.

There was also a stand for the French Consulate in Ghana that was providing information on student visas.

There was a Research section with a CIRAD/IRD stand and two French research operators. Ghanaians doing their theses and funded by these operators were on hand to share their experiences. There was also a France Volontaires stand to talk about volunteering opportunities in France.

Campus France Ghana and alumni who have studied in France were also present with a stand each to guide each participant, explain studying in France, the admissions process, and share their experiences.
