Dr Mahamudu Bawumia Dr Mahamudu Bawumia

North East Regional Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Sulley Sambian has sent a message to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on behalf of the North East Region ahead of this year’s Damba festival.

According to him, the Vice President’s visit appearance at Damba this year is a historic event in recent history and NPP North East Region is upbeat about the development, assuring that the party will work hard to grab all seats in the region.

In welcoming the Vice President, Lawyer Sulley Sambian said the “NPP is focused on winning all the seats in the region as a token of our appreciation to NPP government for creating the North-East Region.”

“No amount of propaganda by the NDC artistically spewed with finesse and effortless fluency will distract us from the prime focus of winning all the seats in the region, and also voting massively for the NPP to continue with its good policies for the Ghanaian people. We will, as a Region not even remotely, dangle the possibility of a John Mahama return.” He added.

NORTH-EAST REGION NPP WELCOMES DR. BAWUMIA TO DAMMA (DAMBA) FESTIVAL

This year’s Damba festival will be one that will go down in history as the most memorable in recent times, as the vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be gracing the occasion. The NPP in the North-East Region is upbeat about the presence of the vice president.

Even though the festival is celebrated in honor of the birth and naming of the holy prophet, the festival appears to glorify the chieftaincy institution in the North.

Fortunately, the celebration comes at a time the Nana Addo’s government has successfully implemented flagship programs that have offered and afforded some level of comfort to the poor in society, notable among which are the Free SHS and the Planting for Food and Jobs.

The NPP in the North-East Region stands in readiness to make this year’s event a Damba to remember.

Let it be known to all that the region has taken full advantage of the government’s flagship programs particularly the Planting for Food and Jobs, a social intervention policy intended to create jobs and forestall food unsecurity.

Few days ago, the Nayiri underscored the relief enjoyed by farmers in the region as a result of this flagship program. According to the Nayiri, since the implementation of the Planting for food and jobs program by the Nana Akufo-Addo’s administration, no subject of his has ever complained of shortage of foodstuffs to him, a clear indication that the flagship program is impacting positively on the lives of his people.

The NPP is focused on winning all the seats in the region as a token of our appreciation to NPP government for creating the North-East Region. On this note, no amount of propaganda by the NDC artistically spewed with finesse and effortless fluency will distract us from the prime focus of winning all the seats in the region, and also voting massively for the NPP to continue with its good policies for the Ghanaian people. We will, as a Region not even remotely, dangle the possibility of a John Mahama return. The NDC has absolutely nothing good to offer to the people of the Region in particular and Ghana in general.

We are wide awake and conscious of the fact that a return of the NDC is just like the biblical account of Apostle Paul’s journey to Damascus. The motive was to kill and persecute Christians. A return of the NDC is to create, loot and share, a phenomenon that will set the nation on a downhill trend.

The NPP will eternally be grateful to Nana Akufo-Addo for the unshakable confidence he has in our brother the vice president. On his part, the vice president has demonstrated beyond every doubt that he is up to the task. He will continue to be the biggest discomfiture ignomy of the NDC, who till date have not been able to name a running mate to partner Mr. Mahama.

At a time when the NDC is pretentiously soliciting public opinion to write a manifesto, the alternative is not only scary, but is empty.

Long live Ghana, long live the North East Region, long live NPP
