The MCE for Bolgatanga, Joseph Amiyuure, has featured in the new Facebook “scam” trend, not as a participant but a victim.

The trolls come after Mr. Amiyuure lost in Saturdays, NPP primaries.

A Facebook user shared his campaign photo with the caption “Big scam…..lol. Go and fix the traffic light. You are still the MCE”.

Mr. Amiyuure has been described as ‘incompetent and dull’ leading to underdevelopment of the Upper East Regional capital, Bolgatanga.

The disappointed Municipal Chief Executive for Bolgatanga, was captured sitting all by himself with his hand supporting his head, as he looked on during the counting process.

The “scam” trend is used by Facebook users to expose the lies and deceit people tell.

Some individuals are teasing about the MCE still recovering from the shock of being defeated by Rex Asanga with 344 votes followed by Emmanuel Aphour who managed to secure 154 votes.

Ahead of the primaries, residents in the Bolgatanga Municipality had already projected a possible defeat for the MCE. An image of Mr. Amiyuure in a pensive mood was filtered on the timeline of Facebook users.
