I’m not a zombie to Akufo-Addo - Allotey Jacobs

A well-known leading Member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs says it is not in his character to insult President Nana Akufo-Addo like some other members of his party do.

According to the former Central Regional Chairman of the NDC, he cannot also be controlled and whipped to join the league of members and communicators of the party to rain insults on the President especially on radio.

“I am not a zombie and you can’t remote control me. If you like find out from those I started within the CPP till now, they will tell you Allotey Jacobs is a hard nut to crack,” he said on Asempa FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com

Mr Allotey Jacobs who appears to be on a collision course with his party particularly on matters relating to corruption under the Akufo Addo government, vehemently rejected assertions that the President is corrupt, a position that is sharply in contravention with the position of his party the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“The same NDC communication team has destroyed my image. We have friends in the NPP and we know people who are eating from the hands of the NPP and they will come on radio and be speaking rubbish to look as if they are defending NDC. We know them and they should know that we are friends and we have been with them for long. I don’t deny friendship. If people think that I’ll come and sit on radio and insult Nana Akufo-Addo I won’t do it,” he added.
