Alhaji Musah denies allegation levelled against him

Kumasi, Feb 11, GNA - Alhaji Musah Shaikayi, one of the two card-bearing members of the Asawase constituency NPP in Kumasi, who have been suspended indefinitely from the party by the constituency executive, has described the action of the executive as ridiculous and unethical.

He said the action taken by the constituency executive was a vicious and malicious intended to tarnish his hard won reputation as a committed member of the party in the constituency.

Reacting to the action of the executive, Alhaji Musah said he received a letter dated February 9, 2005 from the constituency executive that he had been suspended from the party with immediate effect without giving reasons for his suspension.

He said it was therefore surprising to him that the suspension letter copied to the media contained different contents as to why he was suspended.

Alhaji Musah said the charge that he campaigned against the party's parliamentary candidate was not only a lie but wicked as well claiming that that issue had been dealt with.

He said it was therefore ridiculous and unethical for the constituency executive to raise that issue again and expressed his disappointment and regret at the turn of events, especially at this time.

Alhaji Musah called on the Ashanti Regional secretariat of the party to convene an emergency meeting to get to the bottom of the matter so as to bring to an end the rumours being peddled around.
