The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has appealed to the electorates in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency to give Madam Lydia Alhassan massive votes to win the upcoming bye-election.

The party’s General Secretary, John Boadu called on the electorates who have travelled elsewhere to return to their constituency and vote for the party.

“We appreciate what the constituency is doing for the party and the family since the death of their former late MP. We will plead with all constituency members to come in their numbers to vote on Thursday so we will retain the seat for the NPP,” he said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’.

The Electoral Commission has set Thursday, January 31, 2019, as the date for the Ayawaso West-Wuogon constituency by-election.

One of the widows of Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko, Madam Lydia S. Alhassan will represent the NPP in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Parliamentary by-election following Mr Agyarko’s sudden death.
