The Bontrase Youth Wing of the governing, New Patriotic Party (NPP) have expressed their excitement over the performance and highlighted willingness to maintain the Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya West in the 2020 Parliamentary elections.

The MP, who doubles as a Deputy Communications Minister has been described as humble, honest, affable, hardworking, accessible and visible in his constituency by the NPP youth wing in Bontrase, who have promised to maintain him in office come 2020.

Hon. Andah who was in December last year, awarded 2018 best MP at the Ghana Leadership Awards has earned much support from the youth.

According to the Electoral area coordinator of the NPP in Bontrase, Mr. Amos Hammond Dowuona, Hon. George Andah is by far, the best MP the constituency has ever had.

He has noted that, since becoming MP for Awutu Senya West 2 years ago, the MP has had an immeasurable achievement, pointing to Award of Scholarship to students to pursue programmes in various Tertiary Institutions in the country, securing permanent jobs for some constituents, extension of streetlights to places that hitherto had none, free health care provision are few of the many things the MP has done.

He went on to add that, the MP and his DCE have lobbied for 10 computers to St. Ann’s Junior High School, as well as 10 seater toilet project ongoing in the area. In his speech, Mr Dowuona also noted that the Bontrase market which is in its roofing stage was not left behind while expressing delight at Hon. George Andah’s efforts in the area.

“George Andah is doing very well. He reshaped our roads to Ayensu and created a whole lot of opportunities for all", Mr. Dowuona stated.

These comments come against the backdrop of a call by some supposed youth of Awutu Bontrase for potable water, which, Mr. Dowuona hinted that, Hon. Andah has taken serious steps in resolving the problem. Adding that, the engineers have been on site since last week and are doing their possible best to make sure the town gets potable water.

Mr. Dowuona asserted that the comments from one Matthew Mensah otherwise known as Nana Larbie, an NDC Organizer who has been cautioned severally by the Queen Mother of the area for his distasteful comments, as blatant misinformation, an attempt to dent the reputation of the MP and must therefore be treated with no attention.

"This is the first time Bontrase is yet to get a portable drinking water and it’s by the efforts of Hon. George Andah”

According to Mr. Dowuona, a number of successes have been chalked in various parts of the constituency, with the MP relentless on ensuring that, each town gets its share of the cherry. He has emphasized that about 13 individuals from the area are currently benefiting from government's Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) program, which was instituted last year.

He has also lauded the MP's effort in the area of government's school feeding programme. These are his words, "the school feeding program was only captured at Bontrase A & B but through the instrumentality of Hon. Andah, the program is now covering Odotom, Mfaadwen, Ayiresu, Benton, Bontrase St. Francis, and Bontrase Catholic school.

He has therefore reiterated the youth's commitment to maintaining him in the 2020 elections as they are assured of Hon. Andah's unrelenting passion to serve the interest of all constituents.
