I will not rest on my oars -Parliamentary candidate

Kumasi, Nov 26, GNA - Mr Charles Kofi Hagan, Independent Parliamentary candidate for Subin constituency in Kumasi, has pledged to work hard to promote infrastructure development of the area if elected.

He said he would liase with the Government and non-governmental organisations to encourage effective and proper development programmes befitting the constituency as the commercial centre of the Kumasi metropolis.

Mr Hagan was speaking at the fifth annual graduation ceremony for 21 trainees of the Adum zone of the Ashanti regional branch of the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association in Kumasi on Thursday. He advised the members of the association, especially the graduating trainees to learn modern fashions and designs to be able to improve on their performance and meet the demands of their customers. Mr Evans Acheampong, the zonal chairman of the association, urged the newly trained persons to work hard to uplift the image of the profession at all levels.

They should always remember to honour their tax obligations to enable the government to raise more revenue for development purposes, he urged.

The zonal chairman advised members of the association to comport themselves seriously during and after the elections so that they do not get into any trouble.
