Oda NPP Youth Wing elects Executives

Akim Oda, Oct. 4, GNA- A nine-member executive of the Akim-Oda Constituency Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was on Saturday elected and sworn-in for a four year term.

Mr Kwasi Mensah was elected with Mr Tijani Mohammed as the first Vice Chairman. The position of second Vice- Chairman went to Mr Yaw Boakye while Mr Benjamin Kwagyire was elected Secretary. Other officers elected were Mr Sammy Siaw, Organiser, Mr David Okyere, Treasurer, Mr Michael Asamoah, Financial Secretary and Miss Aishetu Hunde, Women's Organiser.

The Constituency Secretary of the party, Alhaji Ibrahim sumaila, said at the function that the party stands for democracy. He said the three-and-half years rule of the NPP had witnessed a remarkable improvement development in the constituency, adding that the party was optimistic of winning 90 percent of the votes in Presidential and Parliamentary election in constituency.

The Birim South District Chief Executive, Mr Yaw Amprofi, said any political party, which ignored its youth would be spelling its doom and advised the Constituency branch of the party to take good care of the youth. He urged the party's activists not to be complacent but to work hard to enable the party win massively in the election.

Mr Osei Frimpong, Special Assistant to the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, urged supporters of the party to close their ranks and convince more people to the party.
