Politicians urged to do clean politics

Abono (Ash), Sept 1, GNA- The Most Reverend Thomas Kwaku Mensah, Catholic Bishop of Obuasi, has asked Catholics wishing to do politics to do it clean.

Bishop Mensah gave the advice during the celebration of the Assumption of Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ at Bosomtwe Grotto at Abono in the Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma District on Tuesday.

He said time had come for politicians to tell Ghanaians what they were capable of doing for the people instead of mounting platforms to tell lies.

Bishop Mensah was also not happy about the way some politicians had turned politics into personal attacks and inflammatory language instead of explaining policies and programmes to the people to enable them to make informed choices.

He asked politicians to be committed to God in all their endeavors.
