Only The CPP Can Get Ghana Back On Track

Many of our members left Ghana some time ago when things began to deteriorate, a great many more left Ghana in recent years, indicating that nothing has changed and our situation as a country gets worse from year to year. We have left our towns and our villages seeking a better life but all we have found is struggle and torment - there is no place like home.

What we all have in common is the wish to one day return to our motherland ? Ghana.

For those who have been abroad a long time, that time to go home never seems to come and for those who have arrived recently the same hope will begin to turn to despair as they have children , who may never know their country or grandparents.

In the last 20 years the country has known NDC and NPP government, ERP and SAP to HIPC. Now we are told we have reached a completion point in HIPC, but does this not take us back to square one.

Are we not back to the situation we were in at the beginning of Structural Adjustment when little amounts of foreign aid money is injected into the system and more and more loans, which has lead us to become a Highly Indebted Poor Country(HIPC).

It would seem therefore that under NDC or NPP rule Ghana is caught in a cycle of SAP to HIPC, SAP to HIPC, which ever of them is in power. Only the CPP can get Ghana back on track, and the CPP?s ?YES? campaign has opened our eyes. Under the CPP factories and jobs were created in the rural areas and all the regions to employ people, but as the factories have been shut down or closed and jobs have dried up so our cities have become choked with street hawkers and burglary, arm robbery and car- jacking has increased. Something must be done and only a CPP government can get Ghana back on track, building jobs in our communities and restoring hope to the youth of Ghana.

When we got a letter from IC4 the International Campaign Coordinating Committee for CPP , we knew the time has come for all of us to join the fight and thus The Ghana Union(Deutschland) ? (Die Ghana Union-Deutschland) is urging all our countrymen, Ghanaians everywhere to support the CPP to get Ghana back on track .

Today if you are in Ghana and you go to Korle Bu or any major hospital in our country, there are no nurses to treat you or cater properly for your health needs. ? Something must be done and only a CPP government will put us back on track.

10% of Ghana?s population have nearly 50% of its income , 40% survive on just 7% of the country?s income, with the rest in between. Thus for the bottom 40% and the other 50% struggle is a way of life and for them the CPP is the only party than can transform their lives, no other party can or cares, and they have had long enough to prove they do.

Support the CPP as the only hope and the only alternative to restore a better life for all our people and not just a few.
