The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem, Nana Stephen Ato Arthur has accepted the directive of President John Agyekum Kufuor to step down for Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom in the December parliamentary election.

? I will abide by the President?s decision to ensure victory for Dr Nduom in the forthcoming election.? he said.

President Kufuor advised party members to leave the matters to him to resolve as far as Dr Nduom?s bid for the seat was concerned.

Earlier in his speech, Dr Nduom, who is the Minister of Energy had appealed to the people to give him the needed support to enable him win the seat and champion the cause of the people.

He said it was in view of President Kufuor?s advocacy for an all inclusive government that he also launched a similar campaign to wrest the seat from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) .

He said since he knew the problems of the people in the area better, he could articulate their concerns and map out strategies to improve their living conditions.

Dr Nduom called for tolerance during the campaign period to ensure peace and harmony in the constituency.
