Ndc knew it.Ndc vindicated.Mahama govt is the winner by such pronoucements from Npp big fishes.Even before inuaguration,Npp is souding like a defeated party.
Before this announcement, was K.T Hammonks statement of fact which was roudly criticised by Npp.He said inter alia that Npp cannot pay trainee and nurses allowance and still maintain the level of infrastrutural development being embark upon by Mahama led govt but K T Hammond was criticise because of political expediency.
Even before K T Hammond and now Ayikoo Otto ,was honoural Kye Mensah, minority leader of soon to be dissolve parliament.Honourable Kye Mensah said Mahama govt was working....That was the statement he made after Mahama has commissioned comenda sugar factory.
The foregoing statement of defeat emanating from Npps own big fishes is heart warming for honest NDC sympathisers and we wish to caution JJ Rawlings and his ilk to stop the vile campaign against Mahama personality.Yes the king of infrastruture,Mahama might have committed some mistakes in pursuit of goodness for all Ghanaians but that doesn,t warrant the campaign of vilification from us. We need each other at this point in time.Ghanaians are not fools and they know who genuinly was working for them.
We NDC can hope that IMani Ghana is still in town and listening to statements of defeat from Npp.

It is likely the outgoing government with their "perceived" create and loot pursuits to create wealth for themselves and not the people of Ghana inflated the cost of the numerous infrastructure projects. They may have therefore implemented projects that are not relevant at this time and/or not necessary catalysts for development. The projects may not be a top priority for Ghanaians.
Instead my view on this to the incoming president and administration will be to assess these and prioritise them and not embark on an outright pause.
Pausing projects and/or policies just because they were implemented by a previous administration is senseless and inimical to development. We have seen critical interventions e.g. NHIS, National Identification, School Feeding Programme, etc. change of name of Metro Mass Transport (very trivial and senseless) happen in the last 2 terms just to mention a few of the numerous accomplishments of the Kufour administration the outgoing government inherited which have all been collapsed. Let not this happen again. NPP show wisdom and as always your competence which we have all been witnesses in comparison with the NDC administrations.
God bless Ghana.

(2) Providing existing hospitals with modern equipment and drugs OR building new hospitals? (3)Providing decent classrooms for pupils studying on their bellies in palm-branch roofing classrooms OR building new universities? Focusing on alleviating the sufferings of the masses by way of lesser taxes, lower interest rates, scrapping of some of our ridiculous VATs OR borrowing more to fund the unending list of infrastructure developments. The only time a project in progress should be stopped is when it has been deemed to be no longer in the best interest of the country; and it is better to lose the money already sunk into it than to pour more money to finish it.
Needless to say, this requires very careful and objective analysis ...something that Ayikoi Otoo is obviously not capable of!!

Am surprised at the negative comments laced with insults and the clear difference in opinion between what my friends on Facebook are saying and what have been posted here.Is it because those here don't appreciate that infrastructural developments didn't win the votes for Mahama and his NDC?Ghanaians were annoyed with Mahama and his NDC because of the high cost of living, youth unemployment , high interest rates and taxes all for the sake of infrastructural developments. Are you people suggesting that Presudent Akufo-Addo must walk that route and maintain what brought down Mahama or proceed relentlessly with those policies on infrastructure or it's a trap for him? Surely some abusing me can only be NDC apologists wishing the President elect a speedy downfaff. Let me assure you it won't happen. Reagan said he was gong to rule Americans on the assertion that HD would not seek reelection. He introduced austere measures and in the end HD was retained God a second term. If the objective of the NPP is to avoid infrastructural development so as to hang unto power then this is a poor Strategy. The returns on investment in infrastructure are slow to realise but at the end very sustainable. Some global factors can Emily throw a well thought of economic plan out of gear eg. Financial crush or drop in oil price. Flooding the markets with sugar, flour and rice to create a perception of abundance only goes to improve the economies of other countries. Buying and selling is never a good option. Hon Otoo it seems you are better in judicial matters than in economics. Seriously.

Mr Attorney General, congratulations for contributing here and taking the trouble to engage with us. You see, Facebook is full of group think because there people surround themselves with a lot of their friends and neighbours, many of whom are not willing to challenge or criticise them - so all you get is everybody agreeing with everybody.
This place is the lion's den - nobody is beholden to anyone here. Having said that, I will like to apologise for the insults - they are uncalled for. The problem is that sometimes we can't help ourselves :).
Your proposal acted as a red flag that got some of us really worked up. The country is full of abandoned projects that have been abandoned by successive governments primarily because they did not start it and the government that has left office will get the credit if it is completed. WE DON'T NEED ANYMORE UNCOMPLETED PROJECTS.
While you make a valid point about Mahama's infrastructure projects not getting him elected, you oversimplify the case. "I put it to you" that Mahama lost for a lot of reasons, not necessarily because he was developing infrastructure. I am sure that dumsor and its related economic impacts played more of a role in his defeat than infrastructure development.
I should also point out that real leaders, people who have their country at heart, will do what is best for the country even if it costs them the next election. The mediocrity we have seen in our politics is precisely because politicians have chosen to chase votes, in most cases at the expense of doing what is right for the country. Please, let's move away from this type of politics.
Finally, let's not give infrastructure a bad name!! I know the NPP used infrastructure, unfairly, to bludgeon Mahama but let's remember that Ghana needs a lot of infrastructure. We need investments in power generation, water, sanitation, roads, bridges, hospitals, etc. etc. The country cannot develop without infrastructure.
Of course no one is saying that these must be pursued at the expense of everything else - there is a need to balance the competing needs of the country. But let's recognise that infrastructure has its place in a developing country like ours and its importance should not be downplayed. Especially if the incoming government is going to fulfill its promises on industries, agriculture, etc. For example, the country has a huge deficit in feeder roads without which the agriculture plans of the incoming government will be hindered.
By the way, I am not an NDC member or sympathiser :). Ghana is more important to some of us than all the political parties rolled together.
Cheers!

Cowards they say die many times before their deaths..I thought our parents gave us names at birth. I have read the comments after my attention was drawn to them. I saw nothing sensible or engaging except illogicality and uncouth language But the worst part is that there are only few proper names accompanying the comments ,the rest aren't nothing more than fakes. Is that What Ghanaweb encourages?Take a look at some of the so called names or identities;"Bad mouth,Easy, They say They say,Kofi Virginia,Man,Coach,Boy Kofi,PK,Tom Tom ,Ghanaian,JDM Toaso,Azaa, leti,JKMo,New Site Banza,Suicide Bomb Manufucturer,Tonto,Odikro,Brass,Trimmer,Yawner,Joeman,Kk,Knockout Col Q,Akut. "Should we spend time on such cowards afraid to own up and defend their opinions?Remember that a reporter reports how he understands what he is reporting and may not necessarily report what was said.I have just granted a lengthy interview with 3FM and that's what I expected Classfm which reported my post here to have done.I am out of here!!!

Mr. Otoo, welcome to the 21st century, the digital platform. If you do not learn self restraint this platform will send you to your early grave. Okay, so if all the anonymous people were to use their real names what were you going to do to them? or about them? Understand that now Ghana's politics has degenerated all thanks to you guys. When you elders sat aloof and the NPP and NDC forumers were insulting both Nana (evil dwarf) and Mahama (dead goat) did you guys ever bother to straighten things out...sorry not now, for the ship has sailed. Good luck chasing people online...
