NPP thanks Brong Ahafo for successful Akufo-Addo tour

The Brong Ahafo regional branch of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed appreciation to the people of the region for turning out in their numbers when the flagbearer of the NPP last week visited towns, villages, and other communities in the region as part of his tour of the country ahead of this year’s elections.

A statement issued by Marlick Adjei, Director of Communications, NPP, in the region said: “The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Brong Ahafo Region wishes to express our gratitude to the chiefs and people of the region as well as the churches and the media fraternity who in diverse ways made the five-day Arise for Change tour of our flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo from Friday 8th to Tuesday 12th July, 2016 a success.

“The people and chiefs of Bechem, Duaywa Nkwanta, Yamfo, Abesim, Sunyani, Nkran Nkwanta, Dormaa, Wamfie, Wamanafuor, Jema, Kintampo, Apesika and Gullumpe as well as Nkoranza among others deserve a special mention for trooping out in their numbers to welcome our incorruptible, visionary, and competent Nana Akuffo-Addo.”

The statement added: “The picture is clearer and the region has spoken as witnessed in the tour through the passion with which the disappointed cashew, tomato and water melon farmers as well as the teaming masses of unemployed youth trooped out to welcome and listen to the party's message through the flagbearer and his entourage. Students of Colleges of Education as well as Colleges of Health are assured of their allowances as Nana Addo cruises to power after the November /December 7th 2016 elections.

“The poor people of the region who have been duped of millions of Ghana cedis through the DKM, God is Love, Jaxter and Little Drops scams were also assured of an end to the controversy with Nana's coming to power, which shall blow the political protection the perpetrators are enjoying under the Mahama administration. Our districts await their local raw materials-driven agenda of One District, One Factory, which they affectionately christened as ‘OD, OF, One District, One Factory.’”

It continued: “The many people who are struggling to pay the Mahama armed robbery light bills have also vowed to change this incompetent, corrupt and dweebish administration to pave the way for Ghana's true economic and social transformation.

“The massive numbers who poured out to appreciate the message of Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo and the NPP has sent a strong message to the nation that the impending change is simply inevitable and shall surely come to pass to turn around the fortunes of the county to prepare a better future for the unborn generations of Ghanaians.

“Clearly, Brong Ahafo is saying enough time has been wasted on the empty promises, corruption and thievery of President Mahama and his incompetent and corrupt team: Ghana must work again to prepare a better future for the unborn whilst making life better for the current generation through a solid, corruption-free governance under the watch of Nana Akuffo-Addo.”
