'I will bring total transformation to Effutu'

Mr Eric Don-Arthur, Effutu Constituency National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Aspirant, has expressed his determination to bring total change to Effutuman by using its eco-tourism potentials and rich culture heritage.

He said, he would bring development, educational opportunities, construct culture centre, facilitate the training of the youth to unearth their God given talents.

He said he would lobby for the construction of a fishing harbour to help address calamities the fishermen encounters when there is rain storm and create a platform for equally opportunity in the party.

Mr Don-Arthur said this when he officially launched his campaign ahead of the Saturday, November 21 constituency primary at Adansi a community in Winneba township.

He described himself as a person who has come to serve, bring development, to be their mouth piece at the Parliament and tolerate the views of all in the constituency and “most appealing” aspirant and dedicated to transforming the fortunes of the municipality.

According to him he would not disappoint Effutuman if they give him their mandate.

He said Effutu has many rich culture heritage, festivals and promised to develop them to attract and bring more tourist and developers to help make the municipality conducive to live in as other cities in the world that have similar history and resources like Effutuman.

The aspirant also announced full scholarship packages for brilliant but needy students in the District to complement to what the immediate past Member of Parliament for the area Mr Alan Mike Hammah offered through his educational endearment fund.

He therefore appealed to the members come out in their numbers on Saturday and vote for him to lead the party win both the Parliamentary and Presidential elections in Effutu.

“Remember we vote not for the party but for our future which is the change we need,” he added.

Mr Emmanuel Oboe Baiden Effutu NDC Constituency Secretary and Mr Frank Aboagye Ghunney the Vice Chairman, stated in their speeches that, this time round the party needs a visionary candidate who has the zeal to lead the party to victory in 2016 elections and urged the delegates to vote for Mr Don-Arthur who is the number one on the ballot sheet.

Dr Cadman Atta-Mills, a brother of the late President John Evan Atta Mills who chaired the event describe Mr Don Arthur as selfless person, committed and has the caliber to represent the people of the area on the ticket of the NDC in Parliament and therefore urged them to give their mandate to him and he would not abuse it.

Among other personalities at the programme were Mr Kofi Minta first Central Regional NDC Chairman, Assembly Members, Immediate part Constituency Executives, his father Dr E.G.A Don-Arthur former Presidential Advisor to the late John Atta Mills and some Council of Elders of the branch party.
