Youth in Central Region pledge support for President Mahama

The Central Regional Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has affirmed its support for President John Dramani Mahama.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Cape Coast, Mr. Samuel Ato Amoah, the Central Regional Youth Organiser of NDC, has assured the President of the youth’s preparedness to work hard to ensure that he wins the December 7 presidential election in the first round.

Mr. Amoah said the youth regarded President Mahama as one of them and with his youthful exuberance they were sure the President would lead the country to the “Promised land”.

He said with the tutelage he received under the late President John Evans Atta Mills, his humility and devotion, they are sure President Mahama would deliver the “Better Ghana” agenda.

Mr. Amoah, the parliamentary candidate for Etti-Mokwaa constituency, appealed to the youth to be vigilant during the December elections and urged NDC polling agents not to sell their conscience to the party’s political opponents. He said NDC youth should respect the laws governing the election and not to engage in acts that would disturb the peace.

Mr. Amoah commended the youth for their comportment during the funeral of President Mills and said they should put up the same behaviour during the elections as a sign of respect for the late President.
