Kade NPP MP elected to contest seat in 2012

Subi (ER) May 3, GNA - Mr Ofosu Asamoah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Kade, was on Saturday elected to contest for the 2012 parliamentary election on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). The MP, who polled 239 votes to beat five other contestants at the party's primary held at Subi.

The other competitors were: Mr Kwabena Ohemeng Tinyase, 166 votes, Mr Collins Offei Mintah, 101 votes, Mr Samuel Ofori Ampofo, 15 votes, Mr Albert Obeng Yeboah, 11 votes, and Prince Oduro Frimpong seven votes.

Mr Asamoah called on the other contestants to support him to enable the NPP to retain the seat. He thanked the delegates for electing him to contest for the Kade seat and called on the electorate to return the NPP to power so that it could rescue the country from its present woes.
