Kyei Baffour cleared to contest Edubiase NPP primary

New Edubiase (Ash), April 14, GNA - The Ashanti Regional Vetting Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has cleared Mr De-Graft Kyei-Baffour to contest the party's parliamentary primaries in the New Edubiase Constituency.

He had earlier been disqualified for not paying the filing fee fixed by the party.

Mr Prince Anfo-Boahen, the Constituency Chairman told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that Mr Kyei-Baffour, the 2008 parliamentary candidate, had since fully paid the money.

The battle for the NPP's parliamentary ticket is now between him and Mr Charles Cann, a businessman.

Mr Anfo-Boahen reminded the two and their supporters to ensure clean campaign to protect and sustain the unity of the party. Mr Kyei-Baffour confirmed to the GNA that he had been cleared and said he was confident of victory. 14 April 11
