Cynthia Amoateng has officially declared her intention to contest for the position of Deputy Treasurer in the upcoming Ellembelle Constituency Executives Elections of the National Democratic Congress, scheduled for October 2026.

Amoateng, currently an Executive Member of the Ellembelle NDC in the Western Region, hails from Nzema Aiyinasi and works as a businesswoman.

In her announcement, she pledged to support the Constituency Treasurer in strengthening the party’s financial base at the branch level.

She highlighted her track record of engaging stakeholders and mobilising resources for party activities across Ellembelle.

Speaking to Daniel Kaku at Aiyinasi on Monday, May 18, 2026, Cynthia Amoateng called on her supporters to avoid the politics of personal attacks and to focus only on championing her message.

She also urged Ghanaians to continue rallying behind President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC government to ensure its success.

The Ellembelle NDC Constituency Executives Elections will determine the leadership that will steer the party’s activities in the constituency ahead of the 2028 general elections.
