Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Presidential Running Mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections, has extended a heartfelt Christmas message to Ghanaians, calling on them to embrace hope, gratitude and faith as the nation reflects on a challenging year.
In a message shared on his official Facebook page, Dr Opoku Prempeh, speaking on behalf of his wife, Alma Pokua Adade-Prempeh, expressed warm Christmas greetings and best wishes for peace, good health and renewed strength.
He thanked God for His faithfulness throughout what he described as a difficult year, noting that while there were blessings to celebrate, there were also hard moments that offered important lessons.
“We thank God for His faithfulness throughout a challenging year, grateful for both the blessings we received and the lessons learned through adversity,” he stated.
Reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas, the former minister highlighted the birth of Jesus Christ as a powerful symbol of hope and renewal for humanity, especially in times of uncertainty.
“The birth of Christ is a timeless reminder of hope, renewal and God’s promise to a broken world,” he said, urging Ghanaians to draw strength from their faith as they celebrate the season.
As the year draws to a close, Dr Opoku Prempeh prayed for peace in homes across the country and encouraged citizens to look ahead with optimism.
“As we celebrate this season and look ahead, may His peace fill every home, restore our strength and guide us into a fulfilling and prosperous new year,” the message added.
The Christmas message, which resonated with themes of faith, resilience and service, has since attracted warm reactions from supporters and followers, many of whom described it as timely and uplifting.
