Ghanaians have lost interest in NDC Government

Anyinam, Aug. 24, GNA - The National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Mustapha Bamba, says the recent mass defection of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters to the NPP was a clear indication that Ghanaians had lost interest in the government.

Over the few weeks, about 600 supporters mostly youth of the ruling NDC from Tain and Wenchi had announced their defection to the NPP.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Anyinam Alhaji Bamba denied assertions from the General Secretary of the NDC, Mr Asiedu Nketia, that the defection was orchestrated by the NPP.

He said the NDC was going to experience the worst form of defection from their supporters because they had lost inertest in their own government.

"Everybody knows that things are not going on well and instead of the government to sit down and find solution to the numerous problems confronting the nation, they have resorted to cheap propaganda" he said

Alhaji Bamba appealed to NDC supporters who are not happy about the performance of their government to support Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the NPP to win the 2012 general election in order to deliver Ghanaians from the economic hardship.

Touching on the Atiwa by-election scheduled to take place on August 31, he cautioned the NDC not to try using any rough tactics as they did at Akwatia, adding that the NPP would meet them boot for boot.

He predicted a landslide victory for the NPP and said they would defeat the NDC again in the constituency to prove their superiority over them.

The national organizer appealed to the rank and file of the NPP to unite and work hard towards the 2012 election.
