Oforikrom NDC petitions leadership

Kumasi, April 6, GNA - The Oforikrom constituency of the National Democratic congress (NDC) has expressed disappointment at the inability of the party to give Mr Ebenezer Terlabi, the NDC parliamentary candidate for the area in the 2008 general election, any appointment.

They said "at least Mr Terlabi deserves some gratitude by being given appointment in whatever capacity following his dedication and commitment to the party's cause before, during and after the election."

Addressing a meeting of the members of the party in the constituency in Kumasi on Sunday, Mr Evans Kwabla Ablordeppey, the Constituency Organiser, said it was important and fair for deserving members of the party in the area to be honoured. He described Mr Terlabi as a genius, who is knowledgeable and an asset to the NDC and is capable of bringing his ingenuity to bear on party's development and governance.

Mr Ablordeppey said the NDC had come a long way in winning power and as such recognition should be given to experienced and qualified members in respect of appointments. Mr Terlabi, a Research Scientist at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), lost the 2008 parliamentary elections to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
