Akufo-Addo Moves Around With Police Escort

? 64 Commandos Guard His Private Residence

? Journeys To Kyebi With 100 Car Convoy

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the man who claims to be the flagbearer of the NPP, has obviously convinced himself that he is the president of Ghana, and as such is abusing the incumbency of his NPP, to very nauseating levels. Ever since he was unconstitutionally declared the winner at the undemocratic (Lord Commey?s scaremongering tactics, the near lynching of Paul Afoko etc) congress of the NPP, Akufo-Addo, as he is known to those who know him, has made it is his trademark to be moving around with heavy police security detail. On Friday, December 28, 2007, five days after the illegal declaration of Akufo-Addo as flagbearer of the NPP, Akufo-Addo was spotted on the Nima Highway with a long convoy traveling at top speed and with police security detail as part of the convoy.

The next day, Saturday, December 29, 2007, the selfsame Akufo-Addo was spotted on the Lapaz motorway with almost the same length of convoy which included police escorts.

When Akufo-Addo visited the studios of Metro TV for the recording of KSM?s ?Thank God It?s Friday? programme, Akufo-Addo did not only go there with police security escorts, but was accompanied by police dispatch riders. As if the use of police escorts and dispatch riders is not enough, Akufo-Addo, The Ghanaian Lens can report, has soldiers guarding his home around the Nima Police Station.

The Ghanaian Lens? military sources, have it that a certain Lt. Col Oppong Peprah, the current Commanding Officer of the 64 Battalion, has deployed 4 soldiers, 2 per day, for 24hrs to be guarding the private residence of Akufo-Addo.

The Soldiers, who have been detailed to guard the private home of Nana Akufo-Addo, are, Corporal Asare Collings, Sergeant Gyasi Simons, Sergeant Agyemang Ajingo, and one Private Musa.

It should not be lost on readers that one of the ?crimes? that former President Rawlings supposedly committed, and which Nana Akufo-Addo and co trumpeted to the high heavens in their days in opposition, was the formation of the 64 Battalion. Yet, today, Akufo-Addo, in very typical hypocritical NPP style, finds it expedient to employ the services of the 64 Battalion to guard his private property.

As he continues to enjoy his questionable victory and deluding himself that he is already the president of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, on Friday, January 4, 2008, journeyed to Kyebi with a 100 vehicle convoy to go and pay homage to his chief, the Okyenhene, and to have a big party in his Abuakwa South Constituency. The information about the over a 100 vehicle convoy and the lavish party, was given by no less a person than Nana Fredua Ofori Atta, an Akyem royal and a key member of Akufo-Addo?s campaign team.

It would be recalled that when Elizabeth Ohene was at the apogee of her arrogance and uncouth utterances, in defending the indefensible practice of the NPP government not inviting former President Rawlings to state functions, said that there can only be one president in the country at a time and so once Kufuor was the president, Rawlings should not be given any recognition. Indeed, Elizabeth Ohene, for reasons best known to her, said at the time that former President Rawlings should actually leave Accra and go and live in another part of the country because Accra was too small to accommodate Rawlings and Kufuor.

One wonders what Elizabeth Ohene?s position is as we currently have two presidents in Ghana: Kufuor and Akufo-Addo.

Elizabeth Ohene who is referred to as ?Ms Aprapransa? in certain circles, is the woman who nearly wiped out the whole of Abutia Kloe, when she served uncooked ?aprapransa and crab stew? when in the very early days of the NPP government she attempted to show off her newfound status and possible newfound wealth by observing the tenth anniversary of the passing away of her father in typical NPP flamboyantly repugnant manner.

Akufo-Addo is not yet president of Ghana and is most likely never to be president of Kwame Nkrumah?s Ghana yet he is abusing his ordinary position as the questionable flagbearer of the NPP without let or hindrance.

?This is the only time he would be able to live his childhood dream of being a president so let him enjoy it because there is no way Ghanaians will allow such an arrogant and stuck-up character to become the president of Ghana? was how Kwame Wiafe, an angry supporter of Allan Cash summed up the smelly style and attitude of Akufo-Addo.
