Wa Central PNC elects new executives

Wa, Aug 1, GNA- The Wa Central Constituency of the People's National Convention (PNC) has elected new executives to steer the affairs of the party for a four-year term. The constituency election formed part of its delegate's conference and elected Alhaji Saaka Jamatutu, a contractor and transport owner as its Chairman with Alhaji Abu Yahaya, also a building contractor as the Vice Chairman. Mr Adams Iddrisu Issahaku, Assistant Headmaster of Kabanye Islamic Junior Secondary School is the Secretary and Mr. Issahaque Awudulai, a first year student of the Wa Campus of the University for Development Studies (UDS) is the Assistant Secretary.

The post of Treasurer went to Mr. Adam M. Lanjimbu. Vice Treasurer is Mr. Nuhu Bashit and Umar Haruna is the Organiser. Deputy Organiser is Mr. Amadu M. Salam, Youth Organiser, Mr. Braimah Matthew, Women's Organiser, Hajia Memuna Abu and Deputy Women's Organiser Madam Ahmed Mansura. In his acceptance speech, Alhaji Jamatutu on behalf of the newly elected executives thanked the delegates and supporters for the confidence reposed in them and gave the assurance that the executives would work hard to help build the PNC to make it a formidable one to win the 2008 polls. Mr. Issahaku tasked the delegates and supporters to intensify their efforts to ensure the success of the party in the 2008 elections and beyond.
