Kwabre West MP under fire

Kodie (Ash), March 31, GNA - The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Youth and Women's wings of the Kwabre West Constituency have passed a vote of no confidence in Mr Emmanuel Owusu-Ansah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area because of his inability to deliver on his electioneering pledges.
They said the MP's conduct and performance were not appreciable and that this was marring reputation of the party in the constituency hence the need to take a quick decision on his stay as MP. The organisers said among others that the MP was not visiting and interacting regularly with the constituents.
This was contained in a resolution adopted at the end of a day's forum organised by the youth and women's wings of the party at Kodie on Thursday.
Mr Patrick Frimpong, the constituency youth organiser and Miss Hannah Appiah, the women's organiser, signed the resolution. They also blamed the MP for failing to honour meetings with the new constituency executives while preferring to deal with the former executives.
Mr Isaac Antwi, the Atimatim polling station youth organiser, said the MP does not even know most of the communities in the constituency. When the GNA contacted Mr Owusu-Ansah, he said the allegations were false.
The MP denied that he does not visit the constituency nor holds meetings with them.
Mr Owusu-Ansah said he visits the communities on invitations but unfortunately most communities have not invited him because of his tight schedule.
