We’ll make history in A/R – Edward Mahama

The Flag-bearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Dr. Edward Nasigre Mahama has stated that the party has set strategies in motion to make history by winning massively in the Ashanti Region.

The Presidential hopeful indicated that the party is poised to cause some upset to the parliamentary seats of the two major political parties –opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the region.

The party has been holding National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings in the region as it positions itself for this year’s 2016 national elections.

Speaking to Ultimate News’ Julius Caesar Anadem, the flag-bearer of PNC expressed optimism that his party will secure unprecedented parliamentary seats in the region when polls are declared.

‘… basically, we think the party is doing very well here, and we are going to shock Ghanaians, we are going to win some seats in Ashanti Region,… at strategic points, people should expect PNC’s wonderful things,’ he said.

Out of the 47 parliamentary seats in the Ashanti Region, 41 seats are held by the opposition NPP with the rest held by the ruling NDC.
