Volta Region branch of Club A 600 inaugurated

Hohoe, Nov. 6, GNA- The Volta Region branch of Club A 600, comprising a group of 600 like-minded individuals committed to the cause of the Vice President, Alhaji Alui Mahama, was inaugurated at Hohoe at the weekend.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Steven E.E. Larbi, National president of the Club, said the Club was borne out of a meeting of a group of New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters and businessmen. He said it was opened to all party activists willing to contribute to the advancement of the Vice President's ambition to become the flagbearer of the NPP.

Mr said none of the party's aspirants has the requisite leadership qualities than the Vice President adding "he has the expertise and experience which makes him stand tall among his contemporaries." Mr. Larbi assured the party's foot soldiers that the Vice President vowed to pay special attention to their empowerment so that they would continue to fight for the party.

Mr. Boye Laryea, Greater Accra Region Financial Secretary of the Club, said enormous resources have gone into nurturing the Vice President and Ghanaians would not forgive the party if it failed to elevate him to take over from President Kufuor on account of the enormous experience he has gained. Mr. Steven Larbi later presented four motorbikes to the party.
