Unity in NDC would secure victory in 2016 - Portuphy

Mr. Kofi Portuphy, an aspiring national chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged party members to see unity as an important feature that could guarantee victory for the party in 2016.

Mr Portuphy noted that unity would make members see themselves as having a common purpose; attract more members and put the party in a better stead to win the general election to continue to work for the socio-economic progress of the party.

He said this when he joined Mr Charles Issaka Abugri, Constituency Chairman for Tempane in the Garu-Tempane District of the Upper East Region to mourn his mother ,at Tempane.

Mr Portuphy expressed his condolences with the bereaved family and the Constituency and urged them to be strong since God was the creator of all and made decisions for mankind.

He later called on delegates in the Bawku Central and the Zebilla Constituencies to seek their support to win the seat because he said he was focused on developing the party through unity.

He said when given the nod he would practice an open door administration, which would allow all party members to come on board in the decision making process for the development of the party.

Mr Portuphy was accompanied by the aspiring National Vice Chairman, Mr Harry Zakkour, Mrs Margret Chiravia, National Women’s Organizer, and the Deputy National Organizer, Mr Mahdi Gibrill, and others.
