U/E NPP advises party functionaries on addressing concerns

Bolgatanga, Dec 2, GNA - The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communication=

Team in the Upper East Region on Wednesday advised party functionaries to=

use the internal structures of the party to address their concerns instea= d of resorting to other means particularly the media. This was contained in a statement signed by the Coordinator of the Communication Team, Mr. Ahmed Bediako.

The statement cited the recent press conference organized by some par= ty members in the region who lost the constituency election to vent their an= ger and said though it was their democratic rights to do so, "but quickly jumping to the media is highly unfortunate".

"As future leaders of the party, we cannot sit unconcerned for any per= son to undermine the smooth manner in which the constituency executive electi= on was conducted."

It pointed out that the major aim of the Party was to wrestle powe= r from the National Democratic Congress(NDC) in 2012 elections and said the=

party would only be able to achieve this if party functionaries and supporters did away with the so-called factionalism. "The Party is bigger than any individual and therefore any attempt by=

any person or group of people from the party to impede the growth of the party would not be entertained", the statement emphasized.
