Twenty-one to contest CPP national executive positions

Twenty-one stalwarts of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) have filed nomination to contest for the various positions at the party's September 18 and 19 National Delegates Congress in Sunyani.

The CPP 2015 National Executive Aspirants official list obtained by the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Thursday revealed that Professor Edmund Nminyem Delle stands unopposed for the National Chairmanship slot.

Seven personalities are contesting for the first, second and third Vice Chairperson slots.

They are Prince Roland Vincent Ahiadzro, Hajia Hamdatu Ibrahim Haruna, Ramson Dabihazaaya Yinbil, Alhaji Amadu Tijani Abdul Rahmani, Mr Seth Otibu Mpare, Ms Susan Adu-amankwah and Mr Kwamena Benyarko.

Mr James Kwabena Bomfeh junior, Mr Michael Kosi Levi Dedey and Nii Armah Akomfrah are contesting for the General Secretary slot.

Mr Samuel Gordon Etroo and Dr. Adolf Lutterodt are contesting for the National Treasurer post; whilst Rashid Alao, Emmanuel Kwao Ogbordjor and Amankwah Appiah are slotting it out for the National Organiser position.

Aisha Sulley Futa and Harriet Anita Abaidoo are contesting for the National Women’s Organiser, whilst James Tetteh Ehiaway, Akwasi Bosompem Boateng and Ernesto Yeboah are vying for the National Youth Organiser slot.

Ghana News Agency information within the party indicates that the party will vet the contestants on September 14 and 15.
