Too much sycophancy in NPP – Allotey Jacobs

The Central Regional Propaganda Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs has called on leadership and members of opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) to pay homage to Ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor for his immense contribution to the party.

Allotey Jacobs stressed that ex-President Kufuor should not be sidelined by the party.

According to him, the New Patriotic Party is made up of "sycophants" and they have been threatening the former President and founding leader of the party, hence his (President Kufuor) inability to exercise his franchise during the Special Congress on Sunday, August 31, 2014.

In his conviction, NPP members find it difficult to sing the praises of former President Kufuor though the party cannot do away with his (Kufuor’s) persona.

Speaking on Peace FM's Morning Show Kokrokoo, he opined “there’s too much sycophancy in NPP. It’s always tiresome when I hear NPP praising President Kufour…NPP members owe him (Kufuor) the biggest gratitude.”
