Tema Central, Kpone-Katamanso NPP chairmen retain positions unopposed

Charles Gyeabour Boateng and Nana Sipim, New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency chairmen of Tema Central and Kpone-Katamanso respectively have retained their positions unopposed while Augustine Kyeremeh polled 601 votes to emerge the chairman-elect for Ashaiman constituency beating his close contender, Joseph Akwesi Brown who polled 416

In the Tema Central constituency, Sylvester Yankey garnered 356 votes to become the 1st vice chairman-elect beating Daniel Abaka Abbiw who got 100 votes.

The second vice chairman position was won by Francis Osei who obtained 376 votes as against his close contender Wonderful Dadzie who secured 85 votes.

Ian Okwei polled 365 to become the constituency Secretary-elect beating his contender, Fache Subre who obtained 141 votes.

For the position of Assistant secretary, Prince Ayim Nuama overwhelmed his contender Mary B. Mensah by polling a staggering 403 votes as against the latter’s 105 votes.

Kwabena Mark Affull had the endorsement of the delegates to become the constituency organiser after polling 377 votes as against 129 votes for Felix T. Koduah.

Naomi Akosua Owusu polled 384 votes to become the next women’s organiser beating her challenger Elizabeth Asiannowah who had 119.

Nana Sarfo Kantanka and Idrisu Abdulai went unopposed for the positions of youth organiser and Nasara Coordinator respectively whereas Benjamin Obeng Asare beat his contender Joseph Quartey with 412 votes as against the latter’s 94 votes after the process.

Addressing the delegates after the programme, Mr. Kofi Brako, Member of Parliament (MP) for the area, appealed to supporters to unite with a formidable front as the elections were over and work hard with determination to retain power in the next elections.
