Stop Ras Mubarak now-NDC Youth Charges

A youth Activist of the National Democratic Congress, Paa Kwesi Brew Yalley has launched a stinging attack on Ras Mubarak for his recent attack on the Personality of President Evans Atta Mills and the NDC describing it as childish. According to Paa Kwesi Brew, Ras Mubarak’s negative comments about the Mills administration were borne out of sour grapes because he (Ras Mubarak)thinks his inability to win the NDC Youth Organizer position was due manipulation from the Castle.

According to him, “Ras Mubarak must grow up, he has been tolerated enough”. He said the practice where aggrieved party members shamefully try cases in the court of public opinion, instead of routing their grievances through the party structures will not be countenanced. He therefore called on the disciplinary committee of the NDC and the national executive to call Ras Mubarak to order and institute disciplinary action against him. Mr Mubarak recently attacked President Mills in an article describing him as a disastrous leader who would cause the party’s defeat in 2012 if not changed as a presidential candidate.

The NDC activist who contested and lost the party’s National Youth Organiser position alongside Ras Mubarak and lost to Ludwig Hlodze, said this in interaction with some NDC youth in Kumasi after the launch of an NDC Youth endowment fund at the Prempeh Assembly Hall in Kumasi at the weekend. He said Ras Mubarak seems to be looking for cheap popularity with his blistering and negative comments about Professor Mills and the party and it’s about time he is stopped in his tracks. “If, indeed, Ras Mubarak had won the Position of National youth Organizer of the NDC would he have gotten the moral right to cast a slur on the Personality of the President and to bring the name of the party into ridicule ?”. Paa Kwesi asked. He therefore called on Ghanaians especially the youth to ignore the tantrums of Ras Mubarak and have hope in President Evans Atta Mills for he will surely deliver what he has promised. Commenting on the performance of President Mills’ government so far, the NDC youth activist who is also an established businessman said the professor mills led government is now ready for a full take-off after creating the necessary preconditions for growth. He said President Mills has had to expend the last few months to stabilize the economy by fixing sky-rocketing inflation and cost of borrowing, and a gaping budget deficit. Paa Kwesi Brew Yalley expressed the hope that Professor Mills will live up to billing to bring the better Ghana agenda he promised Ghanaians into fruition
