Statement: Respect chairman Afoko and he will deliver

Our attention has been drawn to some agitations going round; asking Chairman Paul Afoko to deliver his campaign promises.

We strongly believe that these agitations are being spawned by the unseen hands that wanted to tarnish Mr. Paul Afoko's image with a frivolous petition -prior to the Tamale Congress.

It is quite odd- therefore -to observe that, some patriots have failed to regard and elaborate the unholy vow that some people have made to make Chairman Afoko's administration unattractive.

It is public knowledge that, ever since Mr. Paul Afoko became the national chairman of the blue, white and red party, almost all his decisions have faced stiff opposition.

Where were those people asking him to deliver his promises when some gangsters invaded the party's headquarters with machetes and other weapons- when the national chairman and the General Secretary were having a press conference? Why didn’t they condemn those acts of barbarism? Could it be that it favoured them?

If these detractors give Chairman Afoko a room to operate within his powers as the national chairman of the New Patriotic Party, he will surely deliver his promises.

Chairman Afoko- just like George Washington- says, the constitution is the guide which he will never abandon. We are yet to see any action of Chairman Afoko, aimed to favour one presidential aspirant against the other. Chairman Afoko is a man, who is willing to seek freedom and justice.

We strongly believe that- coming together as party members-is a beginning; keeping together is a progress and working together is success.

Instead of backbiting one another, let us translate our efforts into a clear political vision that supports a road map to political power in 2016.

We are therefore advising the detractors of Chairman Afoko, to beware of false knowledge as it is more dangerous than ignorance.

We are a strong group of people. We will continue to maintain strength, which becomes stronger when we are united. Our strength is not based on size of arsenals but on nobility of ideas.

To us, Chairman Afoko is still the shining knight on the white horse and our Mr. Wonderful.

We will urge all patriots to apply the best of ourselves to the task ahead.

Long Live YOFA,

Long Live Chairman Afoko,

Long Live the NPP.
